The International Network in Environmental Planning and Management was created during the I Urbenviron International Congress Brasília 2005 as an instrument to guide the implementation of the CHARTA OF BRASÍLIA.

Main tasks of Urbenvironet are:

• To propose, deepen and discuss the focal themes of congresses and other events of URBENVIRON series.
• To give support to the Urbenviron Observatory of Urban Environmental Governance.
• To offer opportunity for the free exchange of information and experiences among Urbenviron members.
• To intermediate training opportunities for the improvement of the environmental conditions in the cities and for social inclusion of groups affected by uncontrolled urbanization.

HOW TO JOIN THE NET-GROUP

To join the group, go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/urbenvironet_group and create your “YAHOO ID” (nickname and password). It doesn’t mean a creation of a new e-mail account.
