Meet URBENVIRON

URBENVIRON – The International Association for Environmental Planning and Management aims at bringing together those interested in improving urban living conditions through an interdisciplinary approach and in developing a network for knowledge building on environmental planning, design and management.

Strategic goals:

• Implementation of the CHARTA OF BRASILIA, a result of the 1st Urbenviron International Congress Brasilia 2005.
• Organization of biennial world congresses and international seminars.
• Maintenance of URBENVIRONET International Network, criated during the 1st Urbenviron Congress, in 2005.
• Implementation of the URBENVIRON International Observatory of Environmental Governance.
• Publication of the URBENVIRON Journal, a technical scientific vehicle to be launched during the 3rd URBENVIRON Congress Seoul 2009.
• On-line training on: project design and evaluation; case studies methodology; environmental management methodology; environmental planning methodology; risk analysis and other subjects.
