The Congress
The University of Seoul and the Urbenviron International Association (www.urbenviron.org) is inviting scientists, experts and stakeholders for paper submission to the 3rd International Congress on Environmental Planning and Management (www.seoulcongress.com) that will be taking place in Seoul, South Korea on July 26-30, 2009.
The Congress will strengthen the network among the participants by providing an opportunity for interdisciplinary discussions approaching theory and praxis. Main focus are Climate changes and environment planning in order to take the global warming issue seriously and figure out solutions evolving from different points of view.
Nowadays, developed countries take a series of actions to suggest some solutions and encourage other countries to join in this effort to tackle the global warming. However, developing countries are reluctant to decide their participation into this endeavor, since they are worried about the negative impact on the economic development. In the 3rd Urbenviron Congress, the participants will be able to share their ideas and thoughts on recent environment planning methods and look into how to apply them to each country, considering the unique social, economic and environmental situations of those countries.
The organizers hope that the 3rd Urbenviron Congress will be a good occasion to build close ties between urban environment experts in dealing with global environmental issues.
